November Open House & Art Market

Our annual November sale approaches! As do several other art sales and events in the area—some repeat favorites, some new, all of which we are very excited to do and will thankfully get us out of the house. Come see us at any of them!! One, some, all—

November 2nd-4th: the Pickering Barn Craft Show at the restored 1800s barn in Issaquah, 1730 10th Ave NW. Open Thursday and Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-5.

Saturday, November 18th: Backyard Holiday Market at Gretchen Siegrist Clay’s beautiful studio! Handmade goods: ceramics, prints, jewelry, embroidery, fiber arts, and more; and gathering winter supplies for our unhoused neighbors: bring anything you can of tents, sleeping bags, warm coats & pants, hats & gloves, tarps, hand & foot warmers, etc.

Sunday, November 19th: So happy to be back at the Tacoma Is For Lovers fair at King’s Books, 11-4! (We will only be there Sunday but they’re also open 11-4 on Saturday the 18th, with different artists!)

Saturday, December 9th, 6-9, AND Sunday the 10th, 2-5: Delighted to head just down the hill again to The Grocery Studios for their Holiday pop-up.

Come support local artists! See what we have, and more than once—we pack different things for different spaces, so maybe you’ll see something surprising the second time.

Journals for sale

We had cause to pull out the spiral binder a few weeks ago, a stack of various leftover text weight papers stored years ago, and seasonal decorative illustrations cast decades ago: these journals, in several sizes and designs, are now ready for sale! (At the shop, or online at the Etsy store.)

Each journal has 31 pages which is a comfortable number for the spiral binding and a convenient number for all sorts of things: gardening logs, chore charts, daily drawing challenges? Someone at a fair suggested dream journal for the starred ones, which is a way better concept than what we’d come up with which was cute.

We hear it’s spring

And we’re prepared for spring, we always are: at our Etsy store we now have all kinds of cards in bright colors, with flowers and green grass and birds! A whole lot of birds. We’re big fans of birds.

Revel in the incoming weather! Taunt your friends in the autumnal southern hemisphere! Apologize to an ornithologist for us if you have to, we didn’t read a single book to fact-check these renderings.

Our Etsy store is up!

Blank cards, distinctly not-blank cards, prints, and journals are for sale at our Etsy store. In making these listings it’s come to my attention that our themes are apparently handset type, re-purposed cuts, tough words, and animals.

The online store at present does not have nearly our full inventory! We’re working backwards and will update here as we add more listings. Currently it has Screaming Women and Belligerent Affirmations in completion, several varieties of blank notecards, a small journal, and a silly print about science, art, and the feeling of eh, close enough.
